This work is the result of the union of nature, the artist, and chance.
Nature has nurtured the pieces within itself; the artist has discovered them within nature, brought them together, and created an interpretive work. Chance has also been a constant influence in the process of creating this work, shaping its course.
This piece belongs to the “Wooden Fossils” collection, works that reflect the artist’s imagination of beings that, through the process of evolution and natural selection, have been removed from the circle of life. It is as if these beings once existed, or could have existed.
