Near the end of Nasr el din Shah Qajar’s reign he decreed a ceremonial march be composed by the court musician, the Frenchman Loumier. It was titled ‘Salam Shah’ and was performed by the court woodwind orchestra and was popular and in use until Mohammad-Ali Shah Qajar but was forgotten soon after. After over 100 years this short piece has recently been resurrected by Payman Soltani who has even added some parts to the original score. Payman chose a poem by Bizhan Taraghi to add to the melody as lyrics and turned it into a national hymn “Iran Forever Young’ which he performed live with various singers and musical groups. It gained popularity under the title of “The Song of Our Nation’. This film is the story of this song.
